Frank Kern
Posted on 23. Dec, 2008 by Michelle in Online Money

If you’ve read my account about the day I was treated like dirt and how it saved me $2,000 then this post might have you thinking I’m a sucker for punishment! The very same friend who sent me the link to that over hyped launch sent me a link to a campaign that Frank Kern was running recently. She did acknowledge I’d been upset by internet marketing of late but insisted I check out the link. I did and boy am I glad!
Most people who are searching for online money making ideas have most likely heard of Frank Kern. I’d watched a few of his videos but stopped myself from straying to start yet another ‘thing’ online…I’m sort of sorry I didn’t. I checked out the link my friend sent me and well I was hooked, AGAIN!
There I was producing my latest video about over hyped marketing and yet I was willing to take a risk and put myself through the entire process again. All was going fine, just as that other launch did…then came the dreaded date and time that I had to be back at the page to sign up if I wanted in. I’d received several emails from friends telling me that Frank Kern was giving away a program for free, all I needed to do was get on the list and pay shipping for his products!
So I promised myself that if this launch didn’t go off at the promised time, the time I’d been told to get there or miss out, the time that I would put my life on hold to ‘get in’ on this freeby then I would have to add Frank to my ‘not so wonderful’ list. I knew Frank Kern had a good name as far as I’d heard but I was VERY skeptical that I wouldn’t again be pushed through an unreasonable amount of marketing hype. Well guess what happened?!
I sat there literally rendering ‘that’ video at the very same time that Frank’s launch was due to go live. I’m not against marketing and hype, what I’m against is taking that hype to a point where it begins to treat people with disrespect. I refreshed the screen; delay; nothing. I refreshed the screen again; delay; and then right before my very eyes was Frank telling me ALL about the free product I was about to sign up for! My heart sang, I fell in love! He followed through, he didn’t lie, he didn’t overhype and he did nothing unreasonable!
I quickly signed up for my free infomillionaire product and I await its arrival with great enthusiasm. All copies have been given out but if you head to this link you can get on the list for it if/when Frank releases more www.infomillionaire.com.
I’ll be sure to report back on what Frank sends me and how I put it to good use. What’s your opinion of Frank Kern?

well Michelle I’m a fan too.
I’d have bought “mass control” but it’s way out of my budget right now. But he is a master of creating rapport and using it ruthlessly.
Well worth watching

I always have doubts about a hyper charged type “product launch”.You want to know why? (Besides my Bs meter is on high alert) A product launch means he/him/her and all the hangers on are shooting it out to their “sucker list” People are skeptical anyway, but really It’s very simple if you know anything about human nature.Picture this
Point #1
If you had the really “big secret” to making money would you tell the rest of the world?
These guys are telling you how they make #100,000 a month then why are they chasing you for yours? If I here the word “garu” just one more time#%$#!#$

Lol, ahaaa, I’m not the only one then.:) Thanks for your comment. I’m at the end of my tether when it come to ‘gurus’ too and Frank has lost me after all the poor service and so forth….not that I imagine he’d give a toss. I guess it’s really starting to dawn on me that there are actually very few who genuinely want to help people make money online and if they are genuine they probably don’t have lists a million miles long but the people they do have on their list, well they take care of them. Thanks for visiting my blog.:)

Well to tell the truth I just found your blog tonite from Josh Spauding and you have a nice blog. Let me tell you what I think about “Guru’s” and “Frank Kerns” the fact of the matter is that there is nothing in the entire world of marketing of any kind that warrants the kind of money and hype that guys puts into his “schtick” Oh! yes he might have some kind of new twist on an old idea that has been around for a long time and with things that have been around for a long time history repeats itself and “what was once old is now new again!” The fact of the matter is that other top notch marketers of old knew and used everything that Kern has and maybe, just maybe like I said he might have a new jaunt to a marketing method, but holy moly not one that costs 2K! I also feel that all the hype and that big ticket is just a method of taking advantage of two types of people: People who want to make money online and people that are already making money online and he (Kern) is feeding off of the greed machine in some of us. I feel that he is “preying” on marketers! (my opinion)In my line of sales and others we call that big ticket price “adding value” to something. You know, it cost more because of the quality or the name or whatever! I know that the guy has made some big bucks and is very successful and I don’t begrudge the man for being that kind of material successful. I feel that I see under the hood and I feel that he is praying on the hopes and fears and aspirations and wishes of all types of marketers who want to be successful. I just don’t think that he is teaching anything so earth shattering new. As I said the great marketers of old knew how to “control the masses” and creat hype and angst for a product or service way back in the old days and here is a prime example: The television, the car, the electric can opener and oh yes let us not forget that back in the day a lot of the masses were controlled and hype and sold a product called, are you ready for this?———————The Credit Card Service!
Think about it! I wish Mr. Kern all the success in the world and the same for everyone reading this! Me? I am gonna keep my two grand and use if for other things!

Hi Max, I’m glad you found my blog and I’m especially glad you found me via Josh, he’s a great mentor.
Thanks for your comments, I love hearing about what others think of the ‘guru mania’ that just keeps on keeping on in IM. By the way though, the 2K thing wasn’t something Frank offered me, that was the Arbitrage Conspiracy I was referring to. Frank has no doubt sold products for 2K and over though so he does possibly fall into the picture you painted in your comments.:)
LOL re the credit card service!:) I’m really where you’re at in terms of seeing under the hood and in fact my next post will be a little about that. Thanks again for visiting.

You are welcome and thanks for having me here! I am glad that you and I are on the same wavelength, because the fact of the matter is that anyone, and I mean anyone who takes the time to learn IM and the proper basics (as the best tactic is always keep it simple)and applies the techniques will if they stay persistent and perfect the craft, will make money! you may not become a million but certainly it is possible for anyone to be able to leave their day job and work for themselves. The truth is that as with any business it takes time to perfect and realize a profit. Patience and persistence and getting use to seeing no sales.”each failure brings you closer to a success” and then maybe some of us will have an epiphany and be able to do what Frank does. This guru crap really ticks me off! There are experts out there tho’, but the whole gurus thing……argh!

When I first ventured into the world of making money on the Internet I opted in to at least 20 different so called “Guru’s” and you quickly see the the inner circle and the others trying to get in. The same offers came from various people, some with a different twist, but the same product.
I would encourage people in the beginning to subscribe to as many Guru’s as possible, Why? It was a lesson worth thousands. Studying how they constructed their sales pages, how they presented e mails, the different web site designs, the color combination s, etc.. was a course that would have cost thousands.
It took time to understand and sort it out, but it was free. Like some of your other commentary said you soon see the rehashing of products and pitches which also saves you money by Not Purchasing.
Now I have opted out with the exception of a few..Regards…

Hi Ric, thanks for your comments.
I agree that studying what the gurus give away is an excellent way to learn about marketing.
There are a few ‘gurus’ who still manage to market with a fair and reasonable amount of hype around their launches, tactics that I would feel comfortable in using. It’s the over-hype, the bogus ‘technical glitches’, the ‘accountant has approved more places!’ type marketing that I find so distasteful, it’s basically lies and I can’t get a grip on using lies as a marketing tactic. It works for them though and they must feel comfortable treating people that way.
Like you, many of us end up opting out of what doesn’t serve us well. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

Michelle,
I could watch Frank on video all day long. His appeal in the laid back, surfer-dude approach and his ability to articulate well. He has that rare “natural” talent of sales.
But like many, I found his products too basic. I’ve stopped purchasing any type of info or training laid out in 50 videos with poorly written (PDF) support material. Tellingly, most of what is offer by the gurus offers too little applicable info and too much time spent going through it all.
The need to continue my education doesn’t mean I stop purchasing training material/info…I’m just now very selective.
Here’s what I before sending money:
Only purchase items with a 30 guarantee. Review the first several chapters/videos, ASAP. If it appears that I won’t get through the material within 30 days…refund request goes in. Moreover, If I don’t see real value in that first review…refund request. Again, if the training is poorly laid out or regurgitated crapola…request refund.
A final note…recently I requested a refund of an article spinner software. It was in beta, relatively inexpensive and had some positive comments from other users. But the training to use the product was minimal-too much assumed the user knew more than s/he might. And my version was lacking some features they were discussing in their training. Replies to support came back with curt, unhelpful and often blaming replies. When I requested the refund..the company offered me EVERY SINGLE PRODUCT on their shelf for F.ree! To me, this F.ree offer translated to me their products held little value.
Over the past 2 years, I’ve gotten pretty savvy at assessing products…now if only I could package it! LOL.
