Free Seasonal WordPress Themes!
Posted on 08. Oct, 2009 by Michelle in My Free Products, Virtual Real Estate Development
What? Is it really less than 12 weeks to Christmas?! Yes!
I was shopping in our local department store a couple of weekends ago and was astonished to see the Christmas decoration department was starting to take shape! I still feel it’s ‘early’ to be getting into the spirit of things but then again when it comes to retailing that’s how it works. Summer clothes go out onto the floor in the middle of Winter and Winter appears in the thick of Summer’s heat.
Having worked in retail for 15 years I know how important it is to prepare early for seasonal markets. Whether it be Valentines, Easter, Mother’s Day or Christmas, you need to be ready to capitalise on the spike in seasonal sales up for grabs.
Halloween is coming up so are you ready to jump on the online Halloween opportunity and grab a slice of the traffic and revenue from this seasonal event? And do you have plans underway to set up some sites in Christmas related niches?
You could create sites around Halloween costumes and decorations and market them heavily or even set up a site to sell to other savvy marketers. Christmas decorations, Christmas gift ideas and top toys for Christmas are niches you could get into now ready for the ‘rush’, or even sell Christmas niche sites on Flippa.
If you’re keen but a little time poor I’m here to help you get started right away! No excuses.
I’ve been having fun with Artisteer again, the little WordPress theme generator that really packs a punch, I love it! So I’ve created two free themes for you to use, one for Halloween and one for Christmas.
You can see a demonstration of your free themes at the following links:
Along with the themes I’ve also organised for you a little pack of PLR (private label rights) articles to give you a “seasonal content” head start! How does that sound? I’ll give you the download link in just a moment.
The thing is that it’s good to have some unique content on your site too, so if you want to take the PLR and have it rewritten (like I do
) then I highly recommend you check out Human Rewriter. I love this service, it really is fantastic although sadly the quick turn around times offered when it first launched have gone by the way side but still, at these prices and quality you can’t go wrong (you just need to get your submissions in to get ahead in the queue!)
Do you have blog visitors or a list of subscribers that would like to know where they can grab these free themes too? Well simply grab a copy of the Free WordPress Themes graphic and place it on your site linking it back to this post.
I’d love to hear what you think of the themes so please leave a comment below and what plans you might have for making money with them.
You can download the themes and articles by clicking on the following link:

Michelle, this is great stuff. Very tempting to use it!
Question: do you like your retweets (or, more specifically, retweets of your stuff) going through tweetmeme? I just used the retweet link in this article, and I didn’t notice until after that the result in Twitter was a retweet with your twitter account, but rather @tweetmeme. That’s new to me: do you actually like it that way?

Hey Bill, nice pick up on the tweetmeme setting. I only just installed the button yesterday but didn’t even notice the settings. I’ve changed it now after you bringing it to my attention, thanks!
Glad you are tempted to use the freebies.
Thanks for visiting and leaving your comment.

Michelle,
Cute themes!
Do you use the Standard or Home edition of Artisteer?

Kimberly I purchased the Standard edition so I could have access to the greater number of glares, colours, fonts and custom values etc.
Thanks for your feedback and question.

Nicely done, Michelle.
I was amazed to see Halloween stuff 2-3 weeks ago, but the kid inside got excited nonetheless.
I usually shy away from trying to grab some of the online holiday crowd, but this year is different. I’ve learned a lot over this past year so I’m eager to try out new strategies and targeting more specific products via affiliate sales like Amazon and eBay. Maybe this year will be a little different.

WOW! Hi Michelle. Vince Cianci here. I came across you on Forest Park’s Real Blogging Tips site and noticed you use the same WooTheme as me although I think it’s more like I use the same theme as you given that my site is about a month old!
Anyway I like what you are doing and hope to learn more for you as time goes by.
Vince.

Hey Vince, you have great taste in WordPress themes.
I checked out your blog and couldn’t help but notice the post where you sold the Benz. Nice photos!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.

Good resource list, human rewrite is interesting. One question, Artisteer doesn’t offer to many demos to view, I have to assume the width is adjustable in this template creator. Even the two seasonal ones you made have same width, can wider templates be made?
