Quick Ways To Make Money
Posted on 29. Jun, 2009 by Michelle in Site Flipping
It can be quite a rude awakening when you finally realise that your online million dollar bank account just isn’t materialising as fast as you’d like and is also taking much more effort than you’d imagined. The sooner you move past the shock of that realisation the better.
So whilst you’re working on building strong businesses that can lead to the ultimate ‘passive income lifestyle’ you might have a need to generate some quick cash. Well there are many quick ways to make money online: writing articles, designing graphics or even programing if you have the skills.
Another way is to flip websites which is something I like to do.
What are the pros and cons of website flipping though and where do you begin? Well you need to begin by recognising that site flipping doesn’t hold any guarantees unlike writing articles, for example, where usually payment is up front from the buyer or on delivery of the order.
Site flipping is typically a case of you buying a site cheap that you can make-over or building one yourself and then flipping it quickly in an auction style marketplace. Site flipping can be quite profitable and isn’t hard to get started in especially if you’re willing to put in plenty of effort and quality workmanship.
Have you flipped sites before to generate fast cash? If not have you considered it? If you have considered it then what’s holding you back?
Leave a comment below or even email me if you like, with your thoughts and questions on site flipping, I’d be more than happy to help.

Hi Michelle,
I’ve thought about site flipping MANY times…especially blogs. But I think I’m a little burnt out creating them and all that goes into it. However, I think I need to start looking into buying them to use them or to flip them again.
I’ve seen some of your niche blogs and they look great. I think I’d be interested in buying some from you!

Lisa it’s easy to get burnt out when you’re repeatedly building sites to flip.
The best way around that is outsourcing the parts that are the most draining. For me that’s article writing, so I outsource it. You increase your costs but you could flip twice as many too because your enthusiasm isn’t squashed.
Buying sites to keep is another ball game altogether and deserves a good dose of due diligence before handing over $ to a seller.
Nice to hear you like the creations you’ve seen of mine.:) You can receive updates of sites I have going up for sale by joining the early notification list at Internet Business Head Start.

Michelle, as mentioned before, site flipping is one of the ways I would like to monetize. Thank you for continuing to address this.
Curious, have you thought of aging them to build value like a vintage bottle of wine?

I have often wondered about this. I have a couple of well aged sites ant get moderate to high traffic that is just sitting there. I’d like to know a little more about this “flipping”. Can you point me in the right direction?

Donnie I’ll be covering site flipping in more detail in future posts and will be releasing a free report shortly that will be of use to you. Until then feel free to contact me with any specific questions. Other than that, the best thing to do is head over to the Learn To Sell page at Flippa.com.

What is really tiring is doing internet marketing. As for the writing, I outsource it as well but I write articles as well.

Sanja I agree it can get tiring, outsourcing the bits that you procrastinate over (AKA dislike!) is really the way to go for anyone who can afford to take that route.

Hi Michelle,
This is a good idea how to make money online. Building a new one is much easier than buying cheap from someone. Then we always can add some contents and add links.

It’s not always easier than buying Ruri, some people have zero technical skills so buying is not a bad idea in those cases.
