Super AdSense Theme Backgrounds

backjpg

If you’re using the Super AdSense WordPress Themes you have no doubt discovered that some of the default theme designs are a little old fashioned looking. I had a question about how to change the backgrounds in these themes; thanks goes out to Lisa for inspiring this article. :)

Well this is pretty simple. In the images folder within your chosen theme you will find a file named back.jpg. All you need to do is replace that file with an image of your choosing. I made a simple 12 x 12 pixel design using Photoshop to create the pretty pink background in this easter craft blog.

Depending on the look and feel you’re trying to create will depend on what image you use and what size that image is. The best way is to play around with a few images using a free program such as Gimp or if you’re lucky enough to have a design program such as Photoshop then whip something up yourself.

Once you have an image ready simply name the file back.jpg and then upload it via ftp and overwrite the existing back.jpg file. If you are worried about messing something up then download the current back.jpg file before you start fiddling, you can always upload it again if need be.

Changing a background colour on a web design can really give your site a lift and help it stand out from the crowd.

Happy designing!
